Dr. Deepti Kohli completed her schooling with scholarship in Political Science from Lancers Convent. She completed her graduation in 2000 in Political Science (Hons.) from Daulat Ram College, Delhi University. She completed LL.B. in 2003 and LL.M. in 2006 from Delhi University. In 2015 she was awarded her Ph.D. degree in ‘Protection of Copyright in Cinematograph Films and Sound Recording: Problems and Challenges’ from Delhi University.
Academic ContributionsDr. Deepti Kohli has taught various subjects which includes; Law and technology, Legal ethics and court craft, Law of Evidence, Code of Criminal Procedure, Family Law, Administrative law, Rent laws, Drafting and Pleading, Indian legal history, Techniques of communication and client counseling, Mediation, Negotiation and Conciliation, Code of Civil Procedure. Along with this she has many publications in diverse fields of law.
At Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies she is an active member of disciplinary committee, admission committee, sports committee and moot court society.
Moot Court Society
Dr. Deepti’s major contribution is the foundation of Advocates’ Legion, the moot court society of VSLLS. She has always been a member of the moot court society since 2006. She as the convenor introduced variety of moot activities along with training sessions. The regular moot activities include; Intra Moot Courts, Intra International Moot Courts, Mock Trails, Bail Argument Sessions, Arguedo- Freshers Moot, Memorial Writing Competitions, Judgment Writing Competitions and PPTs on recent socio-legal issues. She has organized, 4 editions of VIPS International Law Moot Court Competitions from 2013-2017.
